The Common Logic Unit (CLU) module is the central unit of the hybrid (wired - wireless) Grenton system. It stores programmed configurations of the smart home system (e.g., button configuration, light scenes, logics, scenarios). The CLU communicates with other modules included in the smart home via wires and wirelessly if needed. Stores the smart home configuration. Stores data (privacy). Enables connection of the system to the Internet (remote smart home management). Communicates with other elements of the Grenton system wired or wirelessly. Enables the connection of up to 48 modules (or 400 objects) forming the system. Communicates with subsequent CLU modules in the case of larger systems (scalability). Equipped with a Z-Wave radio interface (e.g., for connecting roller shutters and roof windows). It has an Ethernet port.
