The LONGi LR7-54HVB is the flagship module of the EcoLife series, designed for modern residential installations. It is not an ordinary panel – it is a product that sets new standards in the residential segment. This model represents the peak of their technological capabilities – it achieves an efficiency of up to 23.0% at a peak power of 470 Wp, and each unit is covered by an exceptional 30-year warranty for both the product and linear power output. The module is built with 108 Back Contact cells arranged in a 6×18 matrix. The front glass is 3.2 mm thick tempered, low-reflection glass. The frame is made of black anodized aluminum alloy, providing both corrosion and UV resistance as well as an elegant, uniform black appearance for the entire module.
----- BREAKTHROUGH HPBC 2.0 TECHNOLOGY -----
The heart of this module is LONGi's patented HPBC 2.0 (High Performance Back Contact) technology – featuring cells with electrical contacts relocated to the back. One of the greatest advantages of Back Contact technology is the low temperature coefficient of power, at just -0.260%/°C. In conventional modules, busbars run across the front surface of the cell, covering part of the silicon and reducing the amount of absorbed light. In Back Contact technology, all electrical connections are invisible from the front – the entire front surface of the cell is active and absorbs light. The result? More energy from the same roof area, lower operating temperatures for the cell, and the complete elimination of the risk of local overheating (hot spots) caused by busbar shading. BC technology also makes the panel look completely different from traditional modules. The front side is uniform, deep black, with no visible metal lines.
----- EXTREME EFFICIENCY -----
The efficiency of the LR7-54HVB module reaches up to 23.0% – one of the highest values achieved by modules intended for residential installations. In practice, this means you can obtain the same installation power with fewer panels and less roof space. The module is available in two power variants: 465 Wp (22.8% efficiency) and 470 Wp (23.0% efficiency). Even under weaker sunlight, measured under nominal NOCT conditions (800 W/m², 20°C, wind 1 m/s), the 470M panel delivers as much as 358 W. The power output tolerance is 0 to +3%, meaning you will not receive a unit weaker than declared – only stronger or matching the nominal rating.
----- LOWER LOSSES DURING HEATWAVES -----
On a hot summer day, when the module temperature reaches 60°C, the LONGi panel loses approximately 9% of its power compared to test conditions. A typical PERC module loses 12–13% under the same conditions. This difference directly translates into more kilowatt-hours produced throughout the year – especially in summer when energy production is at its peak. The module's operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, ensuring reliability during both freezing winters and scorching July heat.
----- 30-YEAR LINEAR POWER DEGRADATION WARRANTY -----
LONGi offers one of the most rigorous linear warranties in the photovoltaic market. For a full 30 years, the module retains a minimum of 88.85% of its nominal power output. This provides real protection for your investment.
First-year degradation is less than 1%, and in subsequent years (2–30) it is just 0.35% per year. For comparison, standard PERC modules with a 25-year warranty typically degrade by 0.45–0.55% annually, and after 25 years guarantee only 80–82% of their original power.
