The Noark surge protective device line consists of Class 2 devices. They are designed to protect against overvoltages caused by fast transient switching operations or indirect lightning strikes. It is recommended to install the devices every 10 - 20 m of cable length, in main switchboards as well as sub-distribution boards. Ex9UE2 20 440 are designed for coordination with Class 1 Ex9UE1 35 series; for Ex9UE2 20 275, coordination with the Ex9UE1 35 series is achieved using a 10 m cable. The design of Ex9UE2 arresters is based on varistor elements. It provides a fast response time. The modular design with a plug-in insert allows for quick and easy replacement of functional modules if they burn out due to the frequent occurrence of overvoltage peaks.
