The KENO DC Combiner Box with Surge Protection Device DEHN 1000V Type 1+2, 5x PV String, 5x MPPT, 10x Overcurrent Prot. 25A supports devices at a maximum continuous operating voltage UCPV of up to 1200 V. The unit ensures an IP66 enclosure protection rating and uses MC4 Stäubli panel receptacles to handle five photovoltaic string inputs and outputs.
This ready-to-install PV combiner box is used to connect and protect DC circuits in solar installations. The presented device supports five independent module strings and works with inverters equipped with five MPPTs. Properly selected photovoltaic protection, such as the built-in Type T1/T2 surge protection device, effectively shields the system from the effects of sudden surges. The design is adapted for safe operation in a wide temperature range from -40 to 80 °C.
