The presented fireman safety switch is a four-string model, meaning it supports four independent photovoltaic module strings. Upon detecting an AC power loss from the distribution grid, the switch prevents further flow of direct current in the installation, which increases the safety of firefighting operations. Suitable for use in residential and commercial installations. S-BOX operates in accordance with globally standardized firefighting procedures. The purpose of the fireman switch is to automatically interrupt the DC circuit in the event of a fire or power grid failure, ensuring that solar cables passing through the building do not remain live when an anomaly occurs. Being powered by AC means that turning off the power in the building's main distribution board will automatically disconnect the DC power from the inverter. The return of AC power will reconnect the DC circuit.
