The Sonel MRU-200 earth resistance and soil resistivity meter is designed for measuring earth resistance and soil resistivity using various methods. A feature that definitely distinguishes this model from other meters of this type is the application of all known earth resistance measurement methods. The measurement can be performed using the 3-pole and 4-wire technical method, also with the use of additional clamps (multiple grounding), as well as the dual-clamp method and the impulse method (earth impedance measurement). The application of the dual-clamp method allows for testing without the need to use additional auxiliary probes driven into the ground. On the other hand, the impulse method is used, among other things, in diagnosing lightning protection grounds. It is also used to measure extensive, multiple, and interconnected grounds (including underground). The advantage of this method is that there is no need to interfere with the circuit. The impulse method enables measurements in accordance with the EN 62305 standard - the necessity to measure earth impedance. This is not the end of the extensive capabilities provided by the Sonel MRU-200 meter. The device also features a function for measuring soil resistivity, continuity of protective and equipotential bonding, and with the use of clamps, also leakage currents or fault currents.
