Residual current circuit breakers are designed for domestic and industrial applications. Their construction is based on the classic operating principle of a permanent magnet and a polarized relay. The advantage of this design is the voltage independence of the protective functions. An appropriate voltage value is only required during the periodic test of the residual current circuit breaker using the "T" button. Residual current circuit breakers should be tested regularly every month. The 6kA version of the Ex9L-N residual current circuit breakers is intended mainly for less demanding applications, such as basic protection in domestic installations.
