Hinen hybrid inverters 5–12 kW

The Hinen inverter series includes models with a power of 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 kW. Thanks to this, the installer can select a device for both a smaller home installation and a more extensive photovoltaic system with energy storage.

The inverters are three-phase and support unbalanced phase load. The manufacturer also indicates the possibility of parallel operation of the devices, which increases flexibility when designing larger systems.

The Hinen high-voltage system is based on modules utilizing LFP technology. The installer can choose one of three basic configurations:

• 7.7 kWh – one battery module,
• 15.4 kWh – two modules,
• 23.1 kWh – three modules.

The modular design makes it easy to adjust the capacity to the energy consumption profile, the power of the photovoltaic installation, and the expected range of backup power.

Hinen 5 kWh low-voltage battery with BMS

The offer is complemented by a low-voltage Hinen battery module with a nominal capacity of 5.12 kWh. The battery has an integrated BMS and can work as part of a modular energy storage system.

The manufacturer anticipates the possibility of connecting additional modules, which allows for increasing the capacity as the user's needs change. The solution utilizes LFP technology, CAN and RS485 communication, and an automatic disconnection function for a damaged module.

The battery can work with selected configurations of Deye brand devices. However, compatibility must always be confirmed for the specific inverter model, software version, and planned system configuration.

How to choose an inverter and energy storage capacity?

System selection should not be based solely on the power of the photovoltaic installation. Before preparing an offer, it is worth analyzing:

• annual and daily energy consumption,
• power consumption profile during the day and evening,
• power and expected production of the PV installation,
• the range of devices that are to operate during a power outage,
• the expected possibility of system expansion,
• compatibility of the inverter, battery, and BMS system.

For some investors, the basic 7.7 kWh system will be the best solution. With higher evening consumption or the need for longer backup power, a 15.4 or 23.1 kWh configuration may be justified.
